First things first: What is luxury vinyl flooring?
This is an amazing mimic of wood, tile, or stone. It is available in an assortment of colors, patterns, and designs. Images are taken with 3D photography so they are clear and vibrant; you will see every knot, grain, wormhole, and veining variation. Colors pop!
Embossing gives the floor added depth and dimension. You can get textured appearances, such as wire-brushed, hand scraped, weathered, or distressed. It can be cut into vinyl planks (LVP) or square, grout able tile-sized pieces. It is available in matte, gloss, or high gloss finished. Since LVF follows all the trends, you can have a farmhouse-style kitchen; wood floors anywhere in the house; a fun, retro look, or marble bath.

People love LVP (or any luxury vinyl) because of its durability; there is a clear top melamine wear sheet that protects the floor from scratches and scuffs. It’s also easy-care with just regular sweeping and periodic mopping. Installation is a fast and uncomplicated floating floor, but the installer needs to be sure the subfloor is clean, dry and level.
How does it become waterproof vinyl flooring?
Instead of the typical vinyl composite cores, these come with advanced cores, WPC (Wood Plastic Composite) or SPC (Stone Plastic Composite). They offer the highest level of protection from water and moisture and will not peel or ripple no matter how much liquid they are exposed to, nor for how long. SPC also provides a more rigid feeling, so you will feel like you are walking on hardwood.
